Chinese PM Wen Jiabo said that China should not only let people have freedom of specch, but more importantly we must alsp create conditions to let them criticise the work of govenrment.(interview with CNN)

PR in Singapore

SM Goh Chok Tong made a comment at Marine Parade dialogue on Monday that the government will not renew the some of the PR who decline to take up citizen ship. It is the departure from the Government's previously stated policy of letting PS decide for themselves whether to become citizen.

Tension in Burmese Army.

BBC reported that the soldiers including station commander and major has been demonstrating with mufti since the beginning of this month as they do not agreed with the handling of their bank saving. BBC reported that 100 persons from the naval unit stationed at Haigyi Island leave the camps.
In a separate report, 8 army units under Infantry division 88 station at Ye Mon area, Hlegu Township, Yangon Divivsion, are being replaced with units from Infantry division 11 as the 8 army units under 88 showed their displeasure on the handling of their bank saving. Army Unit no 213 under Infantry division 88 is in alert condition if the army unit from infantry division 11 take action against them.

International commission on war crimes and crimes against humanity.

A senior official from Obama administration said that US supports forming an international commission to probe possible war crimes and crimes against humanity by the Junta.In March, a United Nations investigator, into Myanmar's human rights , called for the formation of the commission, saying the junta had a pattern of gross and systematic violations of fundamental freedoms of its citizens.Violations included mass arrests of dissidents, deaths and torture of detainees and forced labor, which could involve categories of crimes against humanity or war crimes under international

Election in 7 November

The Junta announced today(13 August) that it would hold its first election in two decades in early November, despite Western fears the vote will be a sham aimed at shoring up the government’s half-century grip on power.

One quarter of the seats in parliament will be reserved for the military following the election, which state media said would be held on November 7.

This time, the Junta not use number 9 as election date. What a strange?

People should abstain from voting so that the world will know that people do not accept the constitution.

Myanmar under N Koreas colony Or Independent Myanmar ?

I never use Myanmar for my beloved country after the Junta change the name to Myanmar from Burma. But there is no longer Independent Burma. Under British, we are not allowed to criticize His majesty King or queen.  Now under Junta, a book about N Korea reader was seized as some of its content makes displeasure to N Korea. So Mynamar is N Korea colony now.

Asean: the rubber stamp for Burmese election.

Myanmar "definitely wants us to rubber stamp the election results," a senior Indonesian diplomat said on condition of anonymity. "And while we will use every opportunity to push the Myanmar authorities to greater democracy, in the end we will probably end up being a big rubber stamp."

401 Singapore suicide in 2009.

The Straight Times report that 401 Singaporean ,(267 male, 134 female,)committed suicide last year. It was 9.35 per 100000, increased from 8.76 per 100000 residents in 20008.  The suicide rate in Japan is 19.1, Korean is 22 and Hongkong is 14.5.

Among 401 Singapore suicide case , there was 72 suicide age  between 20 to 29. The bad economy have a trickle down effect on the very young, The Straight Times reported.

Than Shwe in India.

The Junta chief chief Than Shwe is visitng India and he is going to meet PM Singh. He got red carpet treatment from India. India's state-run oil firms ONGC Videsh, the overseas arm of Oil and Natural Gas Corp, and and GAIL have a 30 percent stake in two gas-producing blocks in Myanmar as part of a consortium which is supplying the hydrocarbon gas that goes to China. Officials said the two companies -- which will continue to pursue hydrocarbon interests in Myanmar -- are also part of the pipeline project which will link the two blocks to China. The total investment by the state companies is around $1 billion
Once a staunch supporter of Myanmar's democracy icon Aung San Suu Kyi, India began engaging the junta in the mid-1990s as security, energy and strategic priorities began to override concerns over democracy and human rights.Sad story.

Uniquely Singapore.

1. “Photographer arrested because of taking photos”.
57-year-old photojournalist, Shafie Goh, was detained by police for one hour. His detention at about 7am on Saturday took place after a policeman saw the veteran photographer taking pictures of snarling traffic and stranded vehicles along Upper Bukit Timah Road, one of the areas badly hit by Saturday morning’s floods. After being spotted by an unidentified on-duty policeman who was mobilised to deal with the traffic situation, Mr Goh was asked to leave the scene.. However, he pleaded with the policeman to be allowed to take one more photograph. Before he could finish talking, the policeman took out his handcuffs and placed them on his right hand. He was also told he would be brought down to a police station.The policeman then brought him to the roadside and told him to wait for an investigator.He was only released after an hour.
A police statement released on Sunday said that officers had repeatedly asked Mr Goh to move to a safe place as he was taking photos in a dangerous position.

2. British freelance journalist and author of "Once A Jolly Hangman:” arrested.

July 18 - Singapore police have arrested a British author on charges of criminal defamation and contempt of court, a day after he launched a book on death penalty in the city-state
Shadrake, who was arrested at a hotel on Sunday, remained in police custody as the investigation was ongoing, a police spokesman said.
In an email to Reuters on July 3, Shadrake called himself a "British freelance journalist and author," who had planned to launch his latest book "Once A Jolly Hangman: Singapore Justice in the Dock" in the city-state on Saturday.
The Straits Times newspaper reported that Shadrake was 75 and his 219-page book was filled with accounts of high-profile cases in Singapore involving the use of the death penalty. It also included interviews with the city-state's former executioner.

3. Flash floods

Singapore got 3d flash flood on Saturday. Flash floods were a rare occurrence in Singapore until recently, with a climate expert interviewed by the Straits Times attributing the problem to regional weather phenomena such as Typhoon Conson and Indonesian squalls.
Critics had blasted the Public Utilities Board (PUB) for not being prepared to handle the first two floods, while the department defending itself by saying abnormal weather conditions and clogged drains were to blame. A government minister is asking the Public Utilities Boad to explain itself to residents affected by the early morning floods.
One Singaporean suggested : “We want our Transport Minister to take MRT train, public bus in the rush hour so that he knows how ordinary Singaporeans feel. Our Health Minister went thru the operation recently, he might understand how it looks like under his charge our health system performance. Now, how about the chief PUB, the Minister in charge where were you when some Singaporeans houses/shops undergoing this flooding. Speaking at the closing session of the inaugural Future China Global Forum on 13 July, Singapore Foreign Minister  said "  China is not interested in  the Myanmar People democratic or in making Muslims Confucianist. China is quite prepared to accept the world in all its diversity as long as you don't threaten them.

Yes, he is right. The Chinese is only interest for their economic success regardless of other people suffering. I would say they are selfish.

The Junta to go Nuclear; Believe it or not?

DVB is releasing documentary that show Burma trying to build medium-range missiles such as SCUDs under MOM with North Korea..

The news(Burma building nuclear) has been spread for a long time but for me it is hard to believe. Because, I believe that Burma don’t have enough technology and capable scientists. According to DVB, Major Sai Nay Win, trained as mechanical engineer at Military Technology University and later trained at Moscow , provided information on nuclear programs such as many colour photographs and his two visits to the nuclear battalion at Thabeikkyin, north of Mandalay.
My reliable source from Burma told me that experimental uranium processing of ores produced from Pimpet mines, near Taung gyi has been carried out under supervision of military special task force(according to Sai it is nuclear battalion) which are formed with army officers who have been trained as geologist, metallurgist and mining engineers during their undergraduate study at the University in Burma.

Why Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao visit Burma

-China’s foreign trade with Burma reached US $1.8 billion in 2009.
- China's has multi-billion dollar energy projects in Burma. (2,000-km oil pipeline from Burma’s Arakan State to China’s Yunnan Province). Thus China needs stability in Burma, especially at the Sino-Burmese border.
- No less than 69 Chinese multinational corporations are currently involved in at least 90 hydropower, mining, and oil and gas projects across Burma.
- I have no confidence that China Premier will advise the Junta to make a few concessions toward making the national reconciliation.
- Chinese interest on Burma is only how to exploit our resources as long as there is no US base in Burma.

Chinese Premier to visit Burma.

Chinese Premier will visit 4 countries, Burma, Japan and South Korea,from 28 May to 3 June . There is no doubt that Burmese Junta will be given special red carpet treatment to Chinese Premier.
My opinion on china is that historically, China never does good for Burmese people. They invaded Burma in Pagan era, Kuomintang army occupied parts of Shan State, supported Burmese Communist party with arms and ammunition. Now a days, exploiting our natural resources in collaborating with Junta, rejecting any condemnation on Human right violation in Burma at United Nation General Assembly.
If we got a chance we should demonstrate his visit.

Kurt Cambell : Election will lack credibility:

May 10 (Bloomberg) -- U.S. envoy Kurt Campbell said military-ruled Myanmar’s planned elections later this year will lack credibility if the generals don’t allow more participation.

“What we have seen to date leads us to believe that these elections will lack international legitimacy,” Campbell, an assistant secretary of state, said after two days of meetings with government officials and opposition leaders, including Aung San Suu Kyi. “We urge the regime to take immediate steps to open the process in the time remaining before the elections.”
Mr Kurt Campbell said The Nobel laureate “has demonstrated compassion and tolerance for her captors in the face of repeated indignities,”. Campbell said. “It is simply tragic that Burma’s generals have rebuffed her countless appeals to work together to find a peaceable solution for a more prosperous future.”

US envoy meets with Aung San Suu Kyi

YANGON, Myanmar — A top U.S. official met Myanmar's detained democracy icon Aung San Suu Kyi on Monday after expressing concerns about the legitimacy of the military-run country's upcoming elections.
Kurt Campbell, assistant secretary of state for East Asia, started off his two-day visit by saying Washington was deeply concerned about the political environment the ruling junta has created ahead of Myanmar's first election in 20 years.
Before meeting with Suu Kyi at a government guesthouse, Campbell spoke with senior leaders of her now-defunct opposition party who urged Washington to convey its concerns by getting tougher with the junta.
The National League for Democracy called for "tougher action against the military government by the United States and the international community," said Win Tin, a senior party member and a longtime political prisoner.
"We also told Mr. Campbell not to recognize the results of the upcoming election, which will be held without the two important elements — credibility and inclusivity — that the international community has demanded," he said.

Does today mark the end of the road for Burma’s main opposition party, the National League for Democracy, headed by detained Nobel laureate Aung San Suu Kyi? The party’s decision to boycott elections this year triggered its dissolution and has split the Burmese pro-democracy movement, and tonight the Rangoon headquarters, long a bastion of the anti-military struggle in Burma, will close its doors for the last time. Four leading Burmese figures talk to DVB about the successes and failures of the party and its possible future role in the military-ruled country.

The most important thing is that the NLD has always fought for the people. If you look at the past decade, the NLD always made decisions about caring for people and democracy, and I think the NLD made a very difficult decision to not participate in these elections. For the Karen and for ethnic people, we are in the same boat; we knew that this dictatorship’s elections will not bring any change in Burma – there will be no democracy, there will be no human rights – and the NLD knew this very well. I think the NLD made the right decision and I think the cycle will continue.
The important thing to remember is that the relationship between the NLD and ethnic nationalities has become better recently – for the ethnic people their struggle is not just for democracy but also for ethnic rights and the NLD has come to understand better the decision of ethnic groups. There hasn’t been any significant political success in Burma, but it’s very important that the NLD has maintained its principals for democracy. The NLD has handled military pressure very well; the military uses power to crush all opposition, including ethnic nationalities, ceasefire groups, warlords, and so on. The junta’s aim is very clear – to destroy democracy.
I was in Burma last month in the Papun area [of Karen state] visiting internally displaced people and I met with people who had escaped from mortar bombing by Burmese troops. I asked them if they were aware of the elections, and they had no idea – some people didn’t have a clue what was happening in different parts of Burma. Everyday they are trying to survive, fleeing to the jungle because their villages are being destroyed by the Burmese army. I told one of them about the elections, and asked if there would be any difference, and he said that they don’t feel anything at all, that anything will change except that the regime will increase its troops in different parts of Burma.

NLD Dissolve,

The National League for Democracy (NLD), for two decades the symbol of resistance against the ruling junta, was dissolved at midnight on Thursday under laws laid down ahead of elections.
The National League for Democracy (NLD) refused to meet a May 6 deadline to re-register as a political party - a move that would have forced it to expel its own leader - and boycotted the vote scheduled for later this year.
At the party's ramshackle headquarters in Myanmar's former capital Yangon, the 'fighting peacock' flag was still flying but party workers were packing up files and mulling new plans to focus on social and development work. 'We have decided not to take down our party signboard and flags as Daw Suu has asked,' said prominent NLD member Phyu Phyu Thin. 'Although we have no legal headquarters, we will continue our movement. Our people have sacrificed their lives... many of our party members and activists are still in prison,' she said

Agence France-Presse on Saturday. Reported that Suu Kyi said : “Thaksin was an elected person. The military seized power from an elected person. The Constitution was drawn up by the military.”
U Nyan Win, Aung San Suu Kyi’s lawyer tried to clarify a controversial remark over the weekend by Burmese pro-democracy leader on the Thai political situation, saying it was a general conversation, not a policy comment.
U Nyan Win also said Suu Kyi did not mention Thailand's former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra during the conversation, as reported by Agence France-Presseon Saturday.
No media has had access to Suu Kyi while she has been under detention, and media reports on her thoughts and observations are gleaned from comments made her lawyer Nyan Win, who is allowed to meet with her regularly.

How the US should engage with Myanmar

There is no evidence to indicate that Myanmar’s leaders will respond positively to the Obama administration’s central message.
The recently enacted electoral laws, which have been met with international condemnation, already point to a process that lacks credibility.
The US must ensure that its policies do not inadvertently support or encourage authoritarian and corrupt elements in Myanmar society. At the same time, if the US sets the bar too high at the outset, it will deny itself an effective role in helping to move Myanmar away from authoritarian rule and into the world community.

More than 20 senior officials in Myanmar's military government have reportedly given up their uniforms in an apparent move to run as civilians in national elections expected to be held later this year.
The officials, including Thein Sein, Myanmar's prime minister, are all expected to retain their cabinet posts in the lead up to the vote.
Government officials have confirmed the move to foreign news agencies, although no mention of the change has been made in Myanmar's state media.
More ministers and deputy ministers are expected to resign from their military posts in the coming days.

Myanmar is a problem. They have a system. The government, the
military is in charge. The world has limited influence over them, and you
can’t change them short of going there and providing a government, which

So they have to move forward because I think many people in Myanmar
know that this is not a solution for Myanmar. Many of the people know that
the government is doing badly by them and resent it deeply. I think many
people know that this is leading nowhere and needs to change. I suspect

decisions, they have decided that this is an existential thing for them.

but where do I go and which jail will I be in and my children and my jewels

Bomb Blast In Ygn

A total of 170 people were injured, 8 people death, in a series of three bomb blasts in third day water festival activities in Rangoon on Thursday afternoon.

Among the injured 125 are men, 45 are women, and among the dead, five are male, three are female.
The United States on Thursday condemned ."We condemn any kind of violence that victimizes innocent civilians," State Department spokesman Philip Crowley told reporters.
Singapore also condemned. Foreign Ministry Spokesman said Singapore is shocked to learn of the bomb explosions and condemns the act of violence that took place on the eve of the Myanmar New Year, leaving nine dead and at least 75 injured

Ii is sad to hear this news. Whoever plant this bomb on what purpose? This time in Burma, people enjoy this festival with peace of mind even though there is lots of hardship in the whole year.

Singapore policy on Myanmar.

Singapore’s official diplomatic stance is that it wants to engage Myanmar and offer “input,” rather than pressure the regime.

Goh Chok Tong, Singapore’s senior minister and former prime minister, has said that Myanmar’s planned elections in 2010 must be inclusive, and that Aung San Suu Kyi’s
National League for Democracy (NLD) must be part of the process of national reconciliation
“our engagement with Myanmar must take a longer term view beyond 2010. Singapore sees the
army as being part of the problem but also a necessary part of the solution . . . [the solution] will take time.”

The situation in Myanmar has become more complex, and there are several changing

Burma’ Ruling Generals Have Just One Birthday Wish: Maintain Complete Power

The junta is confident in its hold on political power, monopoly over the economy and near-complete neutralization of domestic opponents. The ideal conditions are in place to give the military junta its best-ever birthday present: continuing dominance over a future civilian parliament and continuing control of Burma’s 58 million people after the country’s elections, which are for this year. Everything the ruling junta, has been planning is methodically coming to fruition. The system it dubbed “disciplined democracy” is living up to its Orwellian name. And it shows no sign of changing.

The military in Burma is not a state within a state — it has become the state.
The Tatmadaw could well continue to thrive under a civilian system it controls. But the Army will do so at the expense of legitimacy, popular support and honor. And that’s exactly why this year’s elections have been so carefully arranged to ensure the right result. A free and fair election would most likely give the Tatmadaw its marching orders: straight out of power.

What did Singapore say

Singapore foreign ministry spoke man said that they are disappointed that the new election law have led to NLD party to boycott the polls, it will make harder for national reconciliation to be achieved.

UN and Australia have blamed the Junta for boxing a party into a corner.

Singapore will never use harsh words against the Junta as their policy is so called non interference policy. If the Burmese politics have so much adverse effect on ASEAN countries, what will they do? Will they keep the mouth shut?

Upheld dignity and the principles

Hook or by crook Junta will have to implement this unjustified election, just to get a semblance of legitimacy. Time has come to the people of Burma to demonstrate their national character of whether to yield to the military thugs or stood our ground, come what may, for men may come and men may go but the Genuine Union of Burma which Bogyoke Aung San had ignited will go on forever. For the people of Myanmar especially to the NLD, these unjust laws and unfair elections is not a fait accompli, rather a time to prove that the dignity and the principles of the people are more important than the existence of the political party. အဲဒီ ျပ႒န္းခ်က္ေတြ အရ နအဖရဲ့ ေရြးေကာက္ပြဲေကာ္မရွင္က အဖြဲ႕ခ်ဳပ္ကို မတရားသင္း အဖြဲ႕ေတြ၊ သူပုန္ေတြ၊ အၾကမ္းဖက္အဖြဲ႕ေတြ၊ နဲ႕ တိုက္႐ိုက္ေသာ္၎၊ သြယ္ဝိုက္၍ေသာ္၎ ဆက္သြယ္တယ္လို႕ စြတ္စြဲျပီး ဖ်က္သိမ္းႏိုင္ပါတယ္။

ေကာင္းပါၿပီ။ ယခု စစ္အစိုးရက တနိုင္ငံလံုးတြင္ အကြက္ခ်ၿပီး စီစဥ္ေနၿပီးၿဖစ္သည္။ စစ္အစိုးရ၏ ေကာက္က်စ္ယုတ္မာမူမ်ားကို ယခုကတည္းက ႀကားေနႀကသည္။ သူတို႔ကို မည္သို႔နည္းႏွင္႔မ်် ယဥ္နိုင္ရန္အေႀကာင္းတရားမရွိေခ်။ သူတို႔မွ တရားဥပေဒမရွိ။
ၿပည္သူ႔လွြတ္ေတာ္ကိုယ္စားလွယ္မ်ားက အၿခားနိုင္ငံေရးေခါင္းေဆာင္မ်ားႏွင္႔ စင္ၿပိဳင္အစိုးရကို ခ်က္္ခ်င္းဖြဲ႔စည္းရန္လိုအပ္ပါသည္။

နအဖသည္ ျပည္တြင္းေထာက္ခံမႈကို ေသနတ္ႏွင့္ မိုး၍ ရယူထားမည္၊ NLD မွ ေဒၚစုႏွင့္ ပါတီ၀င္ ႏိုင္ငံေရးအက်ဥ္းသားမ်ားကို မိမိသေဘာႏွင့္ မိမိ ထုတ္ပယ္ပစ္လိုက္လွ်င္ နအဖတို႔ ကြက္ခ်ထားသည့္အတိုင္း ျဖစ္သြားၿပီး ေရြးေကာက္ပြဲတြင္ နအဖမွ က်ိန္းေသႏိုင္မည္။ ႏိုင္လွ်င္ ျပည္ပအစိုးရမ်ားမွ NLD ပါ၀င္ ယွဥ္ၿပိဳင္သျဖင့္ ေနာက္တက္ လာေသာ နအဖ၏ အသြင္ေျပာင္းအစိုးရကို ႀကိဳက္ႀကိဳက္မႀကိဳက္ႀကိဳက္ ေထာက္ခံၾကရေတာ့မည္။ ထို႔ေၾကာင့္ ေရြးေကာက္ပြဲတြင္ NLD ပါ၀င္ေရးသည္ နအဖအတြက္ အလြန္အေရးႀကီးသည္။ ပါ၀င္လွ်င္လည္း ႏုိင္ငံေရးပါတီမ်ားမွတ္ပုံတင္ျခင္း ဥပေဒအရ ႀကဳံး၀င္ရန္အတြက္ ေဒၚစုတို႔ကို ပါတီမွ ထုတ္ပယ္ထားၿပီးျဖင့္သျဖစ္ နအဖအေနျဖင့္ NLD ပါတီကို အႏိုင္ရမည္ျဖစ္သည္။ ႏုိင္ငံတကာမွလည္း NLD ပါတီ ပါ၀င္ယွဥ္ၿပိဳင္သည္ႏွင့္ ေရြးေကာက္ပြဲရလာဘ္ကို အသိအမွတ္ျပဳရေတာ့မည္ျဖစ္သည္။ အသိအမွတ္ျပဳလုိက္သည္ႏွင့္ နအဖအသြင္ေျပာင္းအစိုးရသည္ အာဏာကို ဆက္လက္၍ လက္ဆင့္ကမ္းယူသြားၿပီး စစ္အုပ္ စိုးမႈစံနစ္ကို ျမန္မာျပည္တြင္းတြင္ နက္႐ႈိင္းစြာ ျမစ္တြယ္ႏုိင္ရန္ မ်ဳိးေစ့ခ်ေပေတာ့မည္။
ဤအေျခအေနကို ဖ်က္ရန္အတြက္ NLD ပါတီသည္ ေဒၚစုကို မထုတ္ဘဲ တင္းခံထားၿပီး တဖက္မွလည္း အရွိအတိုင္း မွတ္ပုံတင္ရမည္။ မွတ္ပုံတင္ျခင္းသည္ ႏိုင္ငံေရးပါတီတခု၏ လုပ္႐ိုးလုပ္စဥ္အတိုင္း ႏိုင္ငံေရးပါတီအျဖစ္ တရား၀င္ရပ္တည္ေရးအတြက္ မွတ္ပုံတင္ျခင္းသာ ျဖစ္သည္။ ေရြးေကာက္ပြဲ ၀င္မ၀င္ဆိုျခင္းအတြက္ မွတ္ပုံတင္ျခင္းမဟုတ္။ ေရြးေကာက္ပြဲ ၀င္မ၀င္ ဆုံးျဖတ္ခ်က္ကို ယခုထိ မဆုံးျဖတ္ႏုိင္ေသးေၾကာင္း တဆက္တည္း ေၾကျငာခ်က္ ထုတ္ရမည္။ ၎တို႔ တရား၀င္မွတ္ပုံတင္ျခင္းကို လက္ခံသည္ျဖစ္ေစ၊ လက္မခံသည္ျဖစ္ေစ ၎ဆုံးျဖတ္ ခ်က္သည္ နအဖ၏ တာ၀န္သာျဖစ္သည္ဟူ၍ တျပည္လုံးသို႔ ေၾကျငာရမည္။ ထိုအခါ နအဖမွ NLD ပါတီအား ပါတီမွတ္ပုံတင္ျခင္း ဥပေဒႏွင့္ မညီညြတ္သျဖင့္ ႏိုင္ငံေရးပါတီ အျဖစ္မွ မွတ္ပုံတင္ျခင္းကို လက္မခံဘဲ ပယ္ခ်လိုက္လွ်င္ေသာ္လည္းေကာင္း၊ ႏိုင္ငံေရးပါတီ အျဖစ္မွ ဖ်က္သိမ္း လိုက္လွ်င္ေသာ္လည္းေကာင္း ျပဳလုပ္ရေတာ့မည္။ ထိုအခါတြင္ နအဖ၏ ျပည္ပအသိအမွတ္ျပဳမႈကို ရရွိႏိုင္ရန္ ႀကိဳးစားမႈမွာ ပ်က္ျပယ္သြားေတာ့မည္ျဖစ္သည္။ အေၾကာင္းမွာ ႏိုင္ငံတကာမွ အဓိကေတာင္းဆိုေနေသာ ခ်က္သုံးခ်က္ျဖစ္သည့္ ႏုိင္ငံေရး အက်ဥ္းသားမ်ား လႊတ္ေပးေရး၊ ေဒၚေအာင္ဆန္းစုၾကည္အား ေရြးေကာက္ပြဲတြင္ ပါ၀င္ယွဥ္ ၿပိဳင္ခြင့္ရွိေရး၊ လႊတ္လပ္တရားမွ်တသည့္ ေရြးေကာက္ပြဲ က်င္းပျပဳလုပ္ေပးေရးတို႔ျဖစ္သည္။ ထိုအခ်က္ သုံးခ်က္စလုံးကို နအဖမွ ခ်ဳိးေဖာက္လိုက္ၿပီးျဖစ္သည္။ အေၾကာင္းမွာ ေဒၚေအာင္စုၾကည္ ပါ၀င္ယွဥ္ေရးမဆိုထားႏွင့္ ေဒၚေအာင္ဆန္းစုၾကည္ ပါ၀င္ေနသည့္အတြက္ ၎ပါ၀င္သည့္ ႏုိင္ငံေရးပါတီကို နအဖမွ ေရြးေကာက္ပြဲ ဥပေဒျဖင့္ ဖ်က္သိမ္းလိုက္ျခင္းသည္ ျမန္မာႏုိင္ငံတြင္ လြတ္လပ္တရားမွ်တေသာ ေရြးေကာက္ပြဲ မျဖစ္ႏုိင္ေတာ့ေၾကာင္း ထင္ရွား ေစလိမ့္မည္ျဖစ္သည္။ NLD ပါတီအေနျဖင့္ မွတ္ပုံတင္ခြင့္ မရေသာ္လည္း နအဖ၏ ညစ္ပတ္ မႈကို ကမၻာသိ သက္ေသျပႏိုင္မည္ျဖစ္သည္။ နအဖက NLDအား အသိအမွတ္မျပဳေသာ္လည္း ျပည္သူမ်ားက အသိအမွတ္ျပဳေနမည္သာျဖစ္သည္။
ေနာက္တနည္းမွာ ၁၉၉၀ ေရြးေကာက္ ပြဲရလာဘ္ကို အေျခခံ၍ NLD ပါတီသည္ အစိုးရတရပ္ကို ဖြဲ႕စည္းႏိုင္ရန္ ေနာက္ဆုံး အႀကိမ္ျဖင့္ ႀကိဳးစားသင့္သည္ ဟုျမင္သည္။ ဦးႏုသည္ ၈၈ ကာလတြင္ အစိုးတရပ္လည္း ေၾကျငာခဲ့ဖူးသည္။ သို႔ရာတြင္ ဦးႏုသည္ ႏိုင္ငံေရးကြင္းဆက္ ျပတ္ေနခဲ့သည့္အတြက္ မေအာင္မျမင္ျဖစ္ခဲ့ရသည္။ NLD အေနႏွင့္ ႏွစ္ေပါင္း ၂၀ ေက်ာ္ၾကာ အခက္ခဲမ်ဳိးစုံႏွင့္ ရင္ဆိုင္ခဲ့ရသည္၊ သို႔ရာတြင္ ျပည္သူတို႔ႏွင့္ ကြင္းဆက္ျပတ္ျခင္းမရွိဘဲ ရပ္တည္ေနသည့္ တခုတည္းေသာ ျပည္သူ႔ပါတီ ျဖစ္သည္။ ပခုကၠဴၿမိဳ႕တြင္ NLD ႐ုံးဖြင့္သည့္အခါ ျပည္သူ ေလးေသာင္းေက်ာ္ လာေရာက္ အားေပးခဲ့သည္ကို ၾကည့္လွ်င္ NLD သည္ ဖိႏွိပ္မႈ မ်ဳိးစုံၾကားမွ ျပည္သူ႔ေထာက္ခံမႈကို ရရွိေနေသးသည္ဟု ျမင္သည္။ ၁၉၉၀ ေရြးေကာက္ပြဲၿပီးေနာက္ ဂႏၵီခန္းမတြင္ NLD လႊတ္ ေတာ္အမတ္မ်ား စုံညီစြာ တက္ေရာက္ခဲ့စဥ္ အစိုးရဖြဲ႕ႏိုင္ရန္ အခြင့္အေရး ရရွိခဲ့ေသာ္လည္း လက္တြန္႔ခဲ့သည့္အတြက္ အခြင့္အေရး ဆုံး႐ႈံးခဲ့ရသည္ကို နမူနာယူသင့္သည္။ နအဖသည္
အၿမဲတမ္း လက္ဦးမႈကို ရယူ၍ အုပ္ခ်ဳပ္လာခဲ့သူျဖစ္သည္၊ ထိုအခ်က္ကို NLD အေနျဖင့္ နမူနာယူ၍ လုပ္သင့္လုပ္ထိုက္သည္မ်ားကို လုပ္ရဲရမည္။ ေဒၚစုေနအိမ္တြင္ ခ်ိတ္ဆြဲျပ ထားသည့္ (အာဇာနည္တို႔မည္သည္ မိမိလုပ္ရမည့္ အလုပ္ကို ဆုံးခန္းတိုင္ေအာင္ လုပ္္ရမည္) ဆိုသည့္ အဓိပၸါယ္ကို စဥ္းစားဖို႔ အခ်ိန္ေရာက္ၿပီ။ ထုိ႔ေၾကာင့္ NLD အေနႏွင့္ ေၾကျငာရဲရမည္၊ ေၾကျငာပိုင္ခြင့္လည္းရွိသည္၊ ေၾကျငာရမည့္ အခ်ိန္လည္း ေရာက္ၿပီ။

ပါတီမရွိလည္း ႏိုင္ငံေရးရွိေနဖို႔က အေရးႀကီးတယ္။

မတ္လ ၂၉ ရက္ေန႔မွာမွ CEC အဖြဲ႔တင္မက တႏိုင္ငံလံုးမွာရွိတဲ့ ဗဟိုဦးစီး အဖြဲ႔ဝင္CC ေတြကိုပါ အစည္းအေဝးဖိတ္ေခၚၿပီး သေဘာထားေတြကို ေဆြးေႏြးျခင္း၊ ခ်ျပျခင္းေတြ လုပ္ၿပီးမွ အားလံုးလွ်ဳိ႕ဝွက္မဲေပးၿပီး ဆံုးျဖတ္မွာျဖစ္တယ္.


ပါတီတရပ္ဟာ ႏိုင္ငံေရးရွိရမယ္။ ႏိုင္ငံေရးမရွိရင္ ဒီပါတီဟာ ဘာမွအ သံုးမက်ဘူးလို႔ ယူဆတယ္။ က်ေနာ့္ ပုဂိၢဳလ္သေဘာ ခံယူခ်က္။

အဲေတာ့ ႏိုင္ငံေရးရွိၿပီးေတာ့ ပါတီမရွိရင္ေတာင္မွ လႈပ္ရွားလို႔ရတယ္လို႔ က်ေနာ္ ယံုတယ္။ ႏိုင္ငံေရးမရွိဘဲနဲ႔ ပါတီရွိေနလို႔ အလကားပဲ။ ပါတီသာရွိၿပီးေတာ့ ႏိုင္ငံေရးမရွိရင္လည္း ေခါင္းမရွိတဲ့လူလိုပဲျဖစ္မွာပဲလို႔ က်ေနာ္ ေျပာခဲ့တယ္။ အဲဒါေၾကာင့္ ပါတီကို သံေျခက်ဥ္းခတ္ တဲ့ လုပ္ငန္းမ်ဳိးကို က်ေနာ္ လက္မခံႏိုင္ပါဘူး။

Sirindhorn visiting Burma

Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, 55 yrs old, from Thailand is to meet Than Shwe and Thiha Thura Tin Aung Myint Oo – Secretary No. 1, on her visit to Burma. She is also to visit Rangoon and Irrawaddy divisions, areas affected by the 2008 Cyclone Nargis, in order to observe recovery projects which are under the patronage and support of her in the divisions, started since 2008,
It was her fourth visit to Burma. She was a guest of Ne Win in her first visit in 1986. Second and third visit was in 1994 and 2003.
Junta did not meet Human Right envoy Mr Quintana but Junta agreed to meet Sirindhorn.
I would like to warn to her that you can be selected by Junta Than Swe as his wife as he seem to be assume himself of King of Burma.

Quintana Report

Quintana said "the possibility exists that some of these human rights violations may entail categories of crimes against humanity or war crimes under the terms of the statute of the International Criminal Court."Upcoming polls in Myanmar could not be credible given that the ruling junta showed "no indications" that it would release political prisoners and allow them to participate.

Junta representative Wunna Maung Lwin replied that it is "unfounded allegations" from "unverifiable sources".

Actually, it is Junta who has been doing unfounded allegation to NLD and Daw Su.

Mockery of democratic process

Under the Political Party Registration Law, person who is being sentenced are not eligible to be a member of political party.
Political party will be abolished if minimum 3 persons is not participated in coming election.

Oh how shameless, selfish Junta . That kind of law never come across in the world law’s book. So this is Burmese way to guided democracy, following the foot step of Ne Win’s Burmese way to Socialism.

The above paragraphs clearly targeted to Daw Su not to be involved in political party in 2010 as she has been sentenced for 3 yrs(half of the sentenced was commuted by Junta Than Swe). NLD also have to be participate in the general election if NLD continue to stand as political party.

U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki Moon criticized the junta for disqualifying Daw Su from participating in the general election this year.
The United States will not recognize the outcome of Burma's elections scheduled for later this year because of new laws that ban political prisoners and the country's leading democratic activist from participating, the US State Department said Wednesday.

The Junta will not care Mr Ban Ki Moon or US criticism. As they are soldiers and they will surrender only they have no gun at all and being defeated.

Asean to End Nargis Aid

The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean) announced at the seventh meeting of the Asean Humanitarian Task Force (AHTF) in Hanoi on Monday that it will end its recovery assistance in Cyclone Nargis-affected regions in Burma by July.
NGO in Burma said more than 500,000 Cyclone survivors in affected Irrawaddy and Rangoon Division still lacked shelter and work.

Asean appealed for an additional US $103 million to address the pressing needs faced by Cyclone Nargis survivors in November 2009.
As of 28 Feb 2010, total pledges had increased to US $91.3 million, and a total of US $38.57 million had been received by either trust fund or implementing partners, according to the statement.

တိုင္းျပည္နဲ႔ လူမ်ဳိးအက်ဳိးအတြက္ဆိုရင္ နအဖ ေစလိုရာအတိုင္း အေလွ်ာ့ေပး လိုက္ေလ်ာလို႔ မျဖစ္ဘူးဆိုတဲ့ စိတ္ဓာတ္၊ ယံုၾကည္ခ်က္နဲ႔ ေထာင္က်တန္းက်ခံ၊ ဘ၀အပ်က္ခံၿပီး စြန္႔လႊတ္အနစ္နာခံေနၾကတဲ့သူေတြ ေထာင္နဲ႔ခ်ီ ရွိေနဆဲပါ။ အေသခံသြားၾကတဲ့သူေတြလည္း မနည္းေတာ့ပါဘူး။ အဲဒီလို လက္နက္ေကာင္းနဲ႔ အနာခံ တိုက္ပြဲ၀င္ေနသူေတြ ရွိေနတာကို ေမ့လြယ္ေပ်ာက္လြယ္ သေဘာထားၿပီး ဗိုလ္သန္းေရႊ လုပ္မယ္ဆိုတဲ့ ေရြးေကာက္ပြဲဆိုင္းသံမွာ အၿမီး၀င္ႏွန္႔ ဘရိတ္ဒန္႔စ္ ကေနၾကတာဟာ သင့္ေတာ္၏ မသင့္ေတာ္၏ အေလးအနက္ စဥ္းစားသင့္ၾကပါတယ္။

ျပည္သူ႔လႊတ္ေတာ္စစ္စစ္ကိုေတာ့ ဗိုလ္သန္းေရႊရဲ႕ ခါးမွာခ်ိတ္ထားတဲ့ ေသာ့တေခ်ာင္းတည္းနဲ႔ ဖြင့္လို႔မရတာ အေသအခ်ာပါ။ ဗိုလ္သန္းေရႊအျပင္ အျခားေသာ့ကိုင္ေတြအားလံုး စံုညီပါမွ ျပည္သူ႔လႊတ္ေတာ္စစ္စစ္ရဲ႕ တံခါးမႀကီးကို ဖြင့္လွစ္ႏိုင္မွာပါ။ အဲဒီျပည္သူ႔လႊတ္ေတာ္စစ္စစ္ကို ဖြင့္ႏိုင္မယ့္ ေသာ့ကိုင္တခ်ဳိ႕ ေလာေလာဆယ္ ေထာင္ထဲမွာ ရွိေနၾကပါတယ္။

ဘယ္သူေတြဆီမွာ ရွိတာလဲဆိုေတာ့ ေဒၚေအာင္ဆန္းစုၾကည္ဆီမွာ ရွိတယ္။ ဦးတင္ဦး၊ ဦး၀င္းတင္တို႔ဆီမွာ ရွိတယ္။ ဦးခြန္ထြန္းဦး အပါအ၀င္ ညီၫြတ္ေသာ တိုင္းရင္းသားမဟာမိတ္မ်ားအဖြဲ႔က ေခါင္းေဆာင္ေတြဆီမွာ ရွိတယ္။ ကိုမင္းကိုႏိုင္၊ ကိုကိုႀကီးတို႔လို ၈၈ မ်ဳိးဆက္ေက်ာင္းသားေခါင္းေဆာင္ေတြဆီမွာ ရွိတယ္။ အဲဒီပုဂၢိဳလ္ေတြ စံုလင္ပါမွ ျပည္သူ႔လႊတ္ေတာ္စစ္စစ္ရဲ႕ တံခါးမႀကီးကို ေအာင္ေအာင္ျမင္ျမင္ဖြင့္ၿပီး ၀င္ႏိုင္မွာျဖစ္လို႔ အဲဒီေသာ့ကိုင္ေတြအားလံုး အျပင္ကို စံုစံုညီညီ ေရာက္တဲ့အခ်ိန္အထိ ေစာင့္ၾကဖို႔ အႀကံျပဳလိုပါတယ္။ ျမန္ျမန္ အျပင္ေရာက္ေစခ်င္ရင္ စုစုစည္းစည္း တိုက္ပြဲ၀င္ၾကဖို႔ လုိပါမယ္။
အဲဒါေၾကာင့္မို႔ ဥပေဒေလးေတြ ထုတ္ျပန္႐ံုနဲ႔ ပါတီေထာင္ဖို႔ စိတ္မေစာၾကပါနဲ႔။ ေရြးေကာက္ပြဲ၀င္ဖို႔ စိတ္မေလာၾကပါနဲ႔။ ဗိုလ္သန္းေရႊလည္း သူ႔အေျခအေန သူသိလို႔ ရက္မေၾကညာေသးပါဘူး။ စိတ္ေအးေအးထားၿပီး ေသာ့ကိုင္ေတြအားလံုး စံုစံုညီညီ အျပင္ေရာက္ဖုိ႔အတြက္သာ နည္းမ်ဳိးစံုနဲ႔ အႀကံထုတ္ တုိက္ပြဲ၀င္ၾကပါလို႔ အၿမီးႏွန္႔ခ်င္သူအေပါင္းအား ေစတနာေကာင္းနဲ႔ ေၾကညာေမာင္းခတ္လိုက္ရပါတယ္။

SPDC unveil Election Law

SPDC is going to make election soon as Election Law is coming out. NLD issued a statement in 2008 that constitution be revised to remove all anti-democratic elements.. How is the NLD going to resolve this issue?
Ban Ki-moon said on Monday that he has sent a letter to Myanmar's military chief expressing his concern about the credibility and transparency of the nation's upcoming elections. He said election must include Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, Political prisoners must be released so that “all of them can take part in elections,”

Retired British Diplomat Mr Derek Tonkin,said that the upcoming election are going to be quite ritualistic. But the likelihood is that it will pass of without incident, and we don’t particularly endorse the results but we will deal with them. Give the civilians and military 5 to 10 years to learn how to work well together.

စစ္တပ္မွာ အာဏာလက္လႊတ္ရမွာေၾကာက္တဲ့ အေၾကာက္လြန္ေရာဂါ ရွိပါတယ္၊ အဲဒီေရာဂါႏွိပ္စက္ေနလုိ႔ စစ္တပ္မွာ တျခားေဝဒနာဆုိးေတြလည္း အမ်ားႀကီး ကူးစက္ျပန္႔ပြားကုန္ပါတယ္၊ စစ္တပ္ကုိယ္တုိင္က ဒီလုိ အေၾကာက္လြန္ေရာဂါ ရွိေနတာကုိသိပါလ်က္နဲ႔ မကုစားႏုိင္ဘဲ မေထြးႏုိင္မၿမိဳႏုိင္ ျဖစ္ေနပါတယ္။

48 years under green uniform

Today, 2 March, known as Peasant Day in Burma, is actually the day Ne Win took power from elected democratic government by military mean. Since 2 March 1962, Burma has been going down hill till today. Burma situation has been worse and worse. Current regime took power in 1990 from Ne Win's BSPP and changed the political and economic system. But changing the system has no benefit to the people, only Junta and his cronies got the benefits. No meritocracy, no transparency, no rights at all in the current system. As long as green in uniform govern the country, there will be no development for the country.

Singapore government try to reduce reliance on foreign workers.

According to MOM, workers will be reclassified as "basic skilled( those with Skill certificate)” & "higher skilled(those with 4 years relavant experience with skill certificte)”. There will be no more unskilled worker category. The respective levies for the two tiers will start at $230 and $180, and rise to $300 and $200 one year later.

While S Pass holders can still comprise up to 25 per cent of a company's workforce, employers from July will have to pay $100 per worker for the first 20 per cent and $120 a worker for the remaining 5 per cent. Three years on, the rates will hit $150 for the first 15 per cent and $250 for the rest.Currently, firms pay a $50 levy per S Pass worker. The number of S Pass workers nearly doubled from 44,000 in 2007 to 82,000 last December.

Because of the transitory nature of workers and the reluctance of Singaporeans to enter the sector, the levy hikes - at least for the next three years - will not achieve its intended aims. Consumers may be staring at higher housing costs in the medium term.( From today online by Teo Xuanwei).

Quintana left Burma with bare Hand.

UN Human Rights Envoy to Burma Tomás Ojea Quintana expressed “regret” that he was not given the opportunity to meet with Burma's detained opposition leader Aung San Suu Kyi as he concluded a five-day visit to the country.

At a press conference at Rangoon's international airport, he said that it will be difficult to hold free and fair elections in Burma and that he saw no signs that Burma's more than 2,100 political prisoners will be released.

Privitization or Personalization

Fiver Star shipping line(FSSL) , MAI, and Petroleum Filling Stations have been sold out to his cronies. FSSL was sold out to MEC( Military’s economic arm), MAI to Kambaw Za bank(Former Narcotic drug lord), Filling Station to Htoo Company(owned by Teza.

Where is the transparency in this sell out? Any rules and regulation (Pension, social security etc)for the people working in this enterprise?

Any reason behind this fast sold out the enterprise? Who will get benefit? People or his cronies? Privitization should be done cautiously. Hastily privitization get adverse effect on economy.

In reality the way Junta doing is not privitization, it is PERSONILIZATION OF PUBLIC ASSESTS.

U Tin U release and UN envoy arrived

It is glad to hear that U Tin Oo was released from 6 years house arrest . It is not Junta goodwill . The UN's envoy to Burma, Tomás Ojea Quintana arrived one day before his release. The Junta is playing game again.

Selection of Representative for NLD Pegu Division

It is sad to hear that the selection process is not democratic. Pegu Division EC was formed with those chosen from NLD CEC , not considering the view from Township representative. This time unity is utmost important. Be remember how the party CC was formed during Japanese occupation.

Where is John Web??

Senator John Web came to Burma and bring back Mr Yettaw to US. Actually Mr Yetaw breached law. Nyi Nyi Aung, naturalized US citizen, did nothing wrong with Law in Burma. He was sentenced 3 yrs yesterday. What are you doing Senator John web?

Economic reform and Thakin Tin Mya

Economic reform first or political reform first? In Russia, political reform did first, then people suffered a lot because of privitization. In China, economic reform first, politically still not democratic, but people get richer than before.
In order to follow china example, leaders should be uncorrupted. In Burma, we could not do like China as you all know Than Swe and his gangs characters. Step by step privitization under the great leader like Daw Su, we can attain best results. Otherwise , people will be under heavy economic pressure.
Every time colur changing and only one foot away from grave Thakin Tin Mya is advertising Economic reform first policy. What is his motive for writing and advertising this policy? Is he writing for money?
