Those who attacked activists campaigning against the country’s soaring inflation,on the streets of Rangoon are junta-backed thugs. They are mostly unemployed underclass, I think. Unconfirmed report said that before last week’s protests, the government released hundreds of prisoners and then recruiting them to bolster gangs. It is said that the Junta recruited unemployed underclass, paying daily wages of about 2-3K Kyats.
Kyant Phunt members who are unemployed underclass need to understand that those activists are working for them. I could not understand why those Kyant Phunt used forces excessively, may be they are police or army men disguise as Kyant Phunt. Are they Buddhist or we,Burmese, lost Meta, Gruna?
