Junta arrest 88 Generation student leaders

Mizzima News (www.mizzima.com): August 22, 2007- Prominent Burmese student leaders – Min Ko Naing, Ko Ko Gyi, Ko Mya Aye, Ko Pyone Cho, Ko Jimmy, Ko Yin Htun have been arrested by police in Rangoon at 00:30 a.m Wednesday.

As expected military Junta arrested Min Ko Naing and other 88 generation student leaders(88GSL). The leaders expected that kind of response from Junta and had done what should be done for the people. It is very certain that people from all works of life may sympathize them and may want to do something for them in their mind. As junta is so dreadful, so cruel and worst than fascist, it is not easy for ordinary people to continue 88GSL recent movements (Walking campaign against fuel price rise).
It is time now to follow 88GSL foot step. We need to be free from fear. Let do “ Ta Bo Kya Ta Bo Tat”

Junta accused 88GSL as destructive elements who do not wish to see the endeavours of the government are plotting to oust the government by resorting to three strategies : to disrupt the National Convention, to cause civil unrest similar to the 88' disturbances and to commit various acts within the framework of law. Taking advantage of the increase in fuel prices, internal and external destructive elements have provoked the people since 15 August to ensure their three strategies meet with success” (it is a same old label for opposition , but luckily missing communist label)

The accusation :
1. To disrupt the National Convention(NC).
88GSL did not do anything last week to disrupt the NC. Did not say anything regarding on NC at radio RFA, BBC, VOA .
2. To cause civil unrest similar to the 88' disturbances
88GSL had repeatedly said the they want to avoid civil unrest like 1988.
3. To commit various acts within the framework of law
Acting something within the frame work of law is also a crime? Oh what an incredible accusations.
