Peoples Monk: Sanga Arjani

Monk at right in the picture is blocking peoples monk(Sanga Arzani) not to enter Shwedagon.

At least 400 monks, chanting prayers and walking in rows of two and three, marched in Yangon. They proceeded to Shwedagon Pagoda but barred them from entering . The authority has no right to block monks entering Shwedagon Pagaoda. So monks proceeded to Botataung pagoda.

In Bago about 1,000 monks peacefully marched to the Shwemawdaw pagoda.RFA reported that monks at Kyauk Padaung, Pakko Ku, Yenan Chaung, Aung Lan did protest march yesterday. I was suprised that there is no protest so far in Mandalay.

At Sittwe, Rakine State, about 1000 months did protest march. Thousands of people accompanied monks. The miliatry dispersed the crowds using tear gas, 2-3 people were arrested.

So far no one was arrested except at Sittwe. But The Junta will definitely arrest the leading monks shortly and quietly. "Oh Ashin Paya Mya, please perpare for escape from arrest.

Monks are chanting Metta Parita, there is no disruption of tranquality. Thus The Junta has no right to arrest them. But there is no law in Burma, the Junta will do what ever they like, like a fool. How and who can tame a fool.
