Tension in Burmese Army.

BBC reported that the soldiers including station commander and major has been demonstrating with mufti since the beginning of this month as they do not agreed with the handling of their bank saving. BBC reported that 100 persons from the naval unit stationed at Haigyi Island leave the camps.
In a separate report, 8 army units under Infantry division 88 station at Ye Mon area, Hlegu Township, Yangon Divivsion, are being replaced with units from Infantry division 11 as the 8 army units under 88 showed their displeasure on the handling of their bank saving. Army Unit no 213 under Infantry division 88 is in alert condition if the army unit from infantry division 11 take action against them.

International commission on war crimes and crimes against humanity.

A senior official from Obama administration said that US supports forming an international commission to probe possible war crimes and crimes against humanity by the Junta.In March, a United Nations investigator, into Myanmar's human rights , called for the formation of the commission, saying the junta had a pattern of gross and systematic violations of fundamental freedoms of its citizens.Violations included mass arrests of dissidents, deaths and torture of detainees and forced labor, which could involve categories of crimes against humanity or war crimes under international

Bravo. Glad to hear the news, however, it still need to see whether China and Russia may veto in Security council. May US persuade both countries abstain from voting.

Election in 7 November

The Junta announced today(13 August) that it would hold its first election in two decades in early November, despite Western fears the vote will be a sham aimed at shoring up the government’s half-century grip on power.

One quarter of the seats in parliament will be reserved for the military following the election, which state media said would be held on November 7.

This time, the Junta not use number 9 as election date. What a strange?

People should abstain from voting so that the world will know that people do not accept the constitution.
