November 06, 2007—Burma’s detained democracy icon, Aung San Suu Kyi, is being treated at her home for an unknown illness, according to her party, the National League for Democracy. NLD Spokesman Nyan Win told The Irrawaddy on Tuesday that the party had learnt that medical personnel had been visiting her lakeside home on Rangoon’s University Avenue. “But we do not know yet whether she is suffering from a serious illness or not,” said Nyan Win.
